We might also want to discuss changing the name to something derived from OE folde, as people keep getting this confused with Russia, or use another language entirely if the English aren't/weren't the dominant power in this world (pft, no.). OTOH we could invent conlangs that give us entirely new words with the same meaning as eorþe or eorðe.
